Peace Poster Contest
An Annual Art Contest for Kids
Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and both groups. This art contest for kids encourages
young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For 26 years, more than eight
million children from nearby 100 countries have participated in the contest.
The theme of the 2025-2026 Peace Poster Contest is “Together As One”.
When we come together, we can do amazing things. This year, we’re
inviting students around the world to envision what can happen
when a diverse group of people united around a common cause or
goal. Imagine a world where we all come together as one!
Promoting the Arts
Participants use a variety of mediums, including charcoal, crayon,
pencil and paint, to express a different theme about peace each year.
The works vary greatly and reflect the young artists life experiences
and culture.
Spreading Peace and International Understanding
Judges from the art, media, youth development and humanitarian communities select
24 international finalists representing the more than 350,000 children who participate
annually. Posters are shared globally via the Internet, social media, news outlets and
traveling exhibits.
Peace Poster Contest Judging
Each poster is judged on originality, artistic merit and expression of the theme.
Posters advance through several judging levels: local, district, multiple district and
international. At the international level, judges from the art, peace, youth, education and
media communities select one grand prize winner and 23 merit award winners.
