Mr Sunil Kumar R, from Hyderabad in India, has been associated with Lionism for the Last 40 Years. Joined Leo Club of Secunderabad at the age of 14 years, he served as a LEO and thereafter continued his membership as a Lion. His Home Club, Lions Club of Hyderabad North will be celebrating its 50th year during 2014. He is a Graduate of Commerce with Honours and Graduate of LAW.
He held several offices within the Association, including Leo Club President during 1974-75, Lions Club President during 1995-96, District Governor during 2008-09. He served as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Lions ISAAME FORUM during 2009, held at Hyderabad.
Mr Sunil Kumar is a Businessman, with specialization in Travel & Tourism, Marketing and Professional Training. A Qualified Trainer, he is an International Training Fellow from JCI University, USA. He has conducted over 1100 Training Programs, in 16 countries, supporting Personal Effectiveness in Leaders, since the last 25 years. Train The Trainer has been his core subject with over 400 trainers, trained by him. He also authored several Books on Leadership and Management.
As a District Governor of District 324 C2, Mr Sunil Kumar has created history in his Area with numerous achievements. Some of them include a Gross Membership growth of 1008 (Nett: 818). He encouraged 71 Lions to join the ranks of MJF, PMJF during his year as the District Governor. He inspired Lions to take up projects in the area of Eye Care, General Health, Self Employment, Honouring of Teachers and instituted the "Life Awards" to outstanding Achievers, in addition to many other activities including Permanent Projects.
In recognition of his services to Lionism, he is awarded as the 100 Percent District Governor Medallion, Presidents Medallion on some occasions.
Mr Sunil is the son of Past District Governor Mr Narayan Rao, who served as the DG during 1980-81 of District 324C. The family has donated prime land in an important area of the City to establish a Major Lions Eye Hospital, which is very successful and a big boon to Lionism. Mr Sunil Kumar served as the National President of Indian Jaycees and rose to the World Executive Vice President of Jaycees International. He has widely travelled to 55 Countries.
Mr Sunil Kumar is married to Kavitha, who is the Vice President of his Home Club – Lions Club of Hyderabad North. They have two sons – both of whom have done their Masters in Science and Masters in Business Administration from USA & Canada.

An Economics graduate, she has served as a faculty at Faculty Development Institutes, Senior Lions Leadership Institutes, Regional Institutes, DG and VDG schooling of India and also as the DGE group leader at the International Convention for five years. She has been a trainer at various institutes held in Africa, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.
She was also a member of the Mission 30 team, Team 20K and served as a GMT Area Leader for MD322, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Sangeeta has received numerous awards including the highest award of the association, Ambassador of Goodwill Award. She is also a Heritage club member a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a major gift donor for CSFII.
Sangeeta served as the Coordinator of the Indian edition of ’The Lion’ magazine. She has worked closely with PID A P Singh in setting up the Eastern India Lions Leadership Academy.
Widely traveled, Sangeeta has attended numerous US Canada Forums, Europa Forums, OSEAL Forums and a FOLAC Forum besides International Conventions and ISAAME Forums.
